Utah offers spot and stalk, hound hunting and bait hunting for bears. We prefer bear hunting with hounds as it is much more exciting.  The thrill of the chase and the dogs in hot pursuit will get in your blood. Even more thrilling is to walk up on a bear surrounded by the hounds while he is bayed up on the ground.

We harvest record book bears each year, 6 ½ to 7 ½ ft. in length with skulls that measure 18″ to 22″.

Bear hunts are conducted for both Spring (May- mid June) and Fall (August-October).

Bear permits/license can be obtained by: 

• Utah Draw www.wildlife.utah.gov 

• Purchasing a 100% tax deductible Conservation Tag 

 

Utah Bear tags can be obtained through a draw in February, Conservation auctions, or purchased online for harvest objective units. 

 

We can assist you in obtaining conservation, landowner tags and applications in the lottery drawing.
